First past the post at first asking but disqualified to second at La Teste De Buch for Jean-Claude Rouget and His Highness the Aga Khan May 13, Pazeer ran third in a conditions test there going six furlongs June 8 and graduated going this trip at Clairefontaine July 1. Reappearing in a one-mile heat there Aug. 17, the juvenile duly justified 3-10 favoritism that day, coming home 1 3/4 lengths in front and he tired to fifth in the G3 Prix des Chenes at Chantilly Sept. 8. Purchased by these connections for €90,000 (lot 64) out of the Arqana Arc Sale in October, Pazeer settled near the back of the pace well off the inside. Still well covered up circling the lone bend, the bay was scrubbed on by Eduardo Pedroza and made his bid for the lead inside the final 200 metres. He forged past stablemate Perfect Storm inside the final 50 metres to snatch the victory. The latter tied with Trouble Of Course for runner-up honours, while Catch a Wave (Ire) was relegated to third.
